Information We Collect
We collect minimal personal information to operate this website effectively. The information we may collect includes:
Information you provide voluntarily: If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us via email, we collect the email address you provide. We do not require you to create an account or provide any other personal details to browse our content.
Information collected automatically: When you visit our site, we automatically collect certain technical data through cookies and analytics tools. This includes your IP address (anonymized), browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URL.
Important: We do not collect, store, or process any personal health data. We do not ask about your medical conditions, medications, or health history. Our content is educational and informational only.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Website analytics: To understand how visitors use our site, which pages are most helpful, and how we can improve our content. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
Newsletter delivery: If you subscribe, we use your email address solely to send you our supplement guide and periodic updates. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
Site performance: Technical data helps us ensure the site loads quickly, displays correctly on your device, and remains accessible.
Content improvement: Analytics data informs which supplement comparisons to prioritize and how to present evidence more clearly.
Third-Party Services
We work with a limited number of third-party services:
Vercel: Our hosting provider. Vercel processes server requests and may log IP addresses for security and performance purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics (GA4): Web analytics service provided by Google LLC. We have enabled IP anonymization and do not use Google Signals or demographic reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Amazon Associates: Affiliate program. When you click an Amazon product link, Amazon may set cookies and collect data per their privacy policy. See Amazon's Privacy Notice.
ShareASale: Affiliate network. ShareASale may set tracking cookies when you click merchant links. See ShareASale's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not use advertising networks or retargeting services.
Analytics and Performance
Our analytics implementation follows privacy-conscious practices:
IP addresses are anonymized before processing.
We do not enable Google Signals, User-ID tracking, or demographic/interest reporting.
Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted.
We do not combine analytics data with data from other Google services.
You can prevent analytics data collection by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.
Affiliate Links and Disclosures
Healthy Aging Atlas participates in affiliate programs to fund our editorial work. This means:
Product links on our site may be affiliate links. If you purchase a product through one of these links, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings, evidence grades, or editorial recommendations. Our methodology is documented on our Methodology page.
Affiliate commissions help us maintain the site, pay for data subscriptions, and fund our research process. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Affiliate cookies are set by our partners (Amazon, ShareASale), not by us. We do not control the data these partners collect via their cookies.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal data (e.g., your email address from our newsletter list).
Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate data.
Opt-out: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. You can opt out of analytics tracking using the tools described above.
Portability: You can request your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@healthyagingatlas.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing analytics data is legitimate interest (improving our website). For newsletter subscriptions, the legal basis is your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
